Master Your ADI Part 2: Advanced Driving Excellence
The ADI Part 2 Test of Driving Ability is a significant step up from the standard learner test. It isn't just about driving safely; it’s about demonstrating a high level of expertise, smoothness, and professional competence. My Part 2 training is designed to bridge the gap between "good driving" and the "expert handling" required of a qualified instructor.
What the Training Covers
To pass the Part 2, you must demonstrate a professional standard in all road and traffic conditions. Our sessions focus on the core competencies assessed by the DVSA:
-
Expert Vehicle Handling: Developing a smooth, systematic approach to all controls (gears, clutch, and steering) to ensure maximum stability and fuel efficiency.
-
Advanced Hazard Perception: Sharpening your ability to scan, identify, and prioritize hazards long before they require a change in speed or direction.
-
Precision Maneuvers: Perfecting all set maneuvers—including parallel parking, emergency stops, and reversing—with pinpoint accuracy and total observation.
-
Eco-Safe Driving: Integrating modern driving techniques that reduce environmental impact without compromising safety or progress.
-
Independent Driving: Managing navigation and complex road layouts independently while maintaining a high level of concentration.
Why Choose My Part 2 Training?
Passing the Part 2 is about more than just a certificate; it’s about building the foundation for your career as an instructor.
Feature What You Gain
Bespoke Coaching Tailored feedback focusing on your specific driving habits.
Mock Test Conditions Full practice tests to build your confidence and steady your nerves.
Fault Analysis Understanding why "minor" habits in personal driving become "serious" on an ADI test.
Mildenhall & Beyond Familiarity with local test routes and challenging road types.
The Test Format
The Part 2 test lasts approximately 60 minutes and includes:
-
Eyesight Check: Reading a number plate from a distance of 26.5 meters.
-
Vehicle Safety Questions: Five "show me, tell me" questions.
-
The Drive: Covering varied road conditions including motorways or dual carriageways where possible.
Note: You are allowed a maximum of 6 driving faults. A single serious or dangerous fault results in a failure. My goal is to get your driving to a "zero-fault" standard.
